Purpose

If you already have a list of customers or leads (or know someone who does), then you can use this strategy to launch your Amazon product very quickly and successfully.

IMPORTANT:

1.    This is just one of the Listing Boost Method traffic strategies you can use to get a burst of traffic to your Amazon product.

2.    If you don’t have a list and don’t know anyone who does, then don’t worry about this strategy for now – though you will be able to use it later once you have your OWN list of buyers from your product sales.

Overview

Like a lot of other forms of online marketing these days, getting a huge burst of activity can pay off hugely. If you have a list of customers, a list of leads, or you know someone that has either, use that to your advantage when launching your Amazon product.

But, you’ll get the best results if you lead people up to the launch of your product (even if it’s already live) and build up the anticipation of it’s release, rather than just sending them an email saying “here’s my product, please buy it whenever you feel like it”.

Before doing this strategy, it’s best to review the “Sales Copy Strategy & Tactics to Sell More of Your Product” lesson in Module 4 because that will help you craft a better promotional angle to get a better response from the list you’re using.

Like you learned in the Sales Copy video, a great way to get a better response from people is to include an element of scarcity. The best way to do this with your promotion, is to have a limited time window in which they can take action (buy your product) at a greatly reduced price.

So, the first step is to create a coupon code (choose your own time period) to use for promoting your product to the list.

Launching Your Product to a List

The first thing you want to think about is why your specific product is useful to the list. To do this, you’ll obviously need to know who the list is (or have at least some idea).

Make a list of the benefits your product provides to those people.

Then, craft up an information email (or Facebook post if it’s a Facebook Fan Page List), that provides some tips related to the product to send to the list BEFORE a promotion is even mentioned.

For example, if you were selling a Silicone Spatula to a list of cooking enthusiasts, you could craft up an email about 7 Tips to Cook Healthier, with one of them being to use silicone vs. other materials.

This provides the list value and builds up a feeling of reciprocity (you’ve given them something, now they want to give you something back).

You may want to do this one or two more times before mentioning anything about your promotion to really build up your relationship with the list.

After that, you’ll want to send out an email telling people about the upcoming promotion, but frame it like you’re giving something to them (not that you’re asking them to buy something from you). You are, in fact, GIVING them a huge, private discount that nobody else is getting. So, let them know that and tell them when they can “take advantage” of the offer.

When the promotion day comes, you’ll want to send out an email the day of, as early as possible, and on each day the promotion is live. Along the way, let people know that the promotion is coming to an end and the time (and supply) is running out.

You can use this general strategy whether you have an email list, Facebook Fan Page, Twitter Following, or any other type of list to get some HUGE results and fly up the rankings on Amazon.
